Immigrating to Canada? Ensure the Immigration Consultant is Legitimate

Immigrating to a new country isn't free of worries or stress. It is a difficult process that can be made even harder if you unknowingly hire a crooked immigration consultant with no designations from any governing bodies; one who takes advantage of its clients when they are most vulnerable.

Well now it's easier than ever to separate the good from the bad. Pay attention if you will be immigrating to Canada!

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Jason Kenny announced that the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) is the new
regulatory body for immigration consultants in Canada.

The purpose of ICCRC is to “crack down on crooked immigration consultants and their shady practices” with the help of Bill C-35.

Members who are in good standing with the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) can register for ICCRC immediately.

If you’re looking to hire an immigration consultant make sure to do all your research. Are they approved and designated by the ICCRC? You can find out by checking the name of your immigration consultant here. Our recommended vendor is Galt Global Immigration which has its consultants registered with ICCRC as full members.

By doing just a little bit of research you can save yourself a lot of headache and heart ache in finding a designated immigration consultant who will work for you to reach your goal of moving to Canada.

For more information on this newly created regulatory council read the news release from Citizenship and Immigration Canada here.
