Mike recently started a new position through TPD’s Recruiting Team in Edmonton, AB. Now, working in a Financial Consulting role with one of TPD’s clients, we’re excited to see how his career advances!

Congratulations, Mike! And welcome to the TPD Alumni Family!

Was this your first experience working with a recruitment agency? If it was, how did you find the process? If it wasn’t, how did you find TPD different from other agencies?

This was my first experience with a recruiting company in 18 years. The first one wasn't an exciting experience, and Erinn really took the time to get to know me. Which was great for aligning my skills with the right opportunities.

What has your experience with the TPD team been like?

My experience with TPD has been great. Between Doug and Erinn, everything that has come along has been in line with what I am looking for.

How had your job search been going prior to your process with TPD?

My job search prior to TPD was going well, but I didn't have access to the same information that Erinn and Doug could offer. So my own research alongside theirs was great.

What factors were most important to you in the new position you were seeking?

The most important factors to me were a work-life balance, family oriented and a company that rewards performance well.

What is your new position and what excites you the most about it?

My new position as a Financial Consultant is geared towards driving new business. Its exciting to get out and work in a new industry. Service maintenance contracts, in this case.

What is your new work environment and culture like?

The new culture is great. Very family oriented and a great set of company values.

I was referred to Erinn from a family friend and the experience has been great. Since then, I have sent other people to talk to Erinn, as he has been so helpful. He has a great personality and really enjoys what he does. I have had a great experience working with him and I know other people will, too!
